Swish! Woosh! Twirl! BAM!

That is the sound of me ice skating. This is going to be the winter of winter sports: ice skating and skiing. Last night I went ice skating at the Sculpture Garden on the National Mall. I'm taking lessons this winter. I skated forward. I skated backwards. I did a triple toe loop and a double axle... oh, that was Michelle Kwan.

In two weeks, skiing will be the adventure du weekend. Co-workers (including the Boss Man) and I will try our skills in the wilds of West Virginia.

It will be a miracle if I make it to spring without breaking an ankle.
