Crikey! He died!
Steve Irwin was supposed to be invincible until the age of 100, when wouldn't be able to move fast enough to out run a crocodile. Instead, he died this weekend. I'm sure it was in a way that he would have wanted: at the hands of wildlife. It seems like those who are great at what they do eventually die doing it. Dale Earnhardt died on a race track. Harry Houdini died tied up. Steve Rubell, great party master of the late 70's/early 80's died of AIDS.
So Mr. Crodile Hunter, here's to you for captivating me and my little brothers with your crazy antics and love of all things reptile (and mammal) related.
