Concert wave of the future: Sub-Culture Flag Waving for the Opening Act

Flag waving is the concert trend of the future. During U2's Vertigo tour, we had the pleasure of seeing the Rasta flag stylings of Damien Marley's band. There was a natty dreaded guy running around on stage waving the Rastafarian flag. That was his job: Damien Marley flag waver. It takes strength and marijuana, but no talent.

Last night, the same thing happened. X-Clan opened for Jurassic 5 at the 9:30 Club. They had a short dreaded guy running around on stage waving the Zulu flag. That was his job: X-Clan flag waver. This guy, though, had the added element of break dancing. I hope he is higher ranking in the Flag Wavers Union of America.
